I am Stefan Ivanovski, a PhD student at Cornell University. My advisor, Professor Virginia Doellgast and I, are researching the impacts of artificial intelligence (AI) on different types of workers in the game industry, focusing on game artists, but also other types of workers such as voice actors, programmers, and quality assurance workers. The purpose of this study is to understand how AI developments and implementation impacts worker voice and worker well-being in the game industry. Our study focuses on workers based in the US.
Your participation in this study would be invaluable, and we are interested in hearing your insights and experiences. The interview will last approximately 60 minutes of your time, and we will be recording it to ensure that we accurately capture your responses.

- Does Artificial Intelligence threaten decent work? | The Future of Work Podcast (ilo.org) – a podcast by Virginia Doellgast. This podcast discusses the impacts of AI on the future of work. It also covers our preliminary research we did in 2023 on the game industry.
- In 2023, we presented our preliminary findings on our research in the game industry at the Regulating Decent Work Conference organized by the International Labor Organization (ILO). On page 27 of Ensuring Decent Work in Times of Uncertainty – Conference Package published by the ILO you can find information about our panel (Parallel Session 1.5: Algorithms, artificial intelligence, and decent work) and the paper’s abstract related to the game industry.
